Put on the muzzle and check it
Please note the following:
1.
Length: The dog should have 1–2 cm of space in front of its snout
2. Height: The muzzle should be high enough to allow the dog to pant freely

Adjust the neck strap and headband
Neck strap:
When the muzzle is adjusted correctly, it should be 1 cm away from the dog's eyes.
Forehead strap:
(for the Muzzle Pro)
The forehead strap should be loosely adjusted, not tight. This should also not pull the muzzle closer than 1 cm from the eyes.
1.
To adjust the straps, slide the outer strap through the slider.
2.
To properly tuck away the excess strap, first pull it through the loops, then fold it once or twice and pull the loop over the end of the strap.
Why are muzzles adjusted this way?
When using muzzles or food guards, it is important that the dog has enough room to pant. This is how the dog regulates its body temperature. If the dog cannot do this, especially in the summer, there is a risk of overheating or worse.
If the muzzle is adjusted too tightly, it will pull against the dog’s eyes, which is very uncomfortable for the dog and makes it difficult for the dog to accept the muzzle.
Tip: Make sure there is enough water in the bowl so your dog can drink easily even while wearing a muzzle.

Correct application

The
Pro Muzzle
offers reliable protection for dogs that bite or are unpredictable, and is ideal for vacations, public transportation, or sensitive situations. It allows the dog to pant, drink, and receive treats in a controlled manner.
The headband makes it escape-proof.
The advantage: If the dog bumps into you while wearing the muzzle, it is less painful than with a metal muzzle. The holes in the mesh are also small enough that children’s fingers cannot get through.
Tip: With the Profi muzzle, a small hole can be cut out for dispensing treats.

The
Light Muzzle
is ideal for use on public transportation, chairlifts, on vacation, or during training to prevent the dog from eating or licking wounds, while still allowing panting and drinking.
The padding around the nose ensures that the muzzle does not slip into the eyes.
It is not suitable for dogs whose reactions are difficult to predict or for situations where additional protection, such as that provided by the Professional Muzzle, is required.

The
Food Guard Muzzle
is designed to protect dogs from ingesting food or poisoned bait while out on walks, in the yard, or during training, while still allowing enough room for panting and drinking.
It is not suitable for dogs whose reactions are difficult to predict or for situations requiring additional protection, such as those where the Profi Muzzle is used.
Both the Profi muzzle and the Light muzzle feature a flexible strip between the eyes that prevents the muzzle from sliding into the dog's eyes.
Care Instructions:
The Fressschutz muzzle can be machine-washed at 30°C in a laundry bag.
However, for the Light and Profi muzzles, we recommend hand washing.
Use a mild detergent, but avoid fabric softener, as this can have adverse health effects on your dog.
You can hang the muzzle up to dry. The muzzle should not be put in the dryer or ironed.

Safety instructions:
- Check the muzzle for damage before use
- If the muzzle isn't adjusted properly, the dog could slip out of it in the worst-case scenario
- The muzzles are not intended for 24/7 use
