Tighten and check the harness
First, put the harness the dog.
Tipp: Das Geschirr beim Ausziehen umdrehen und vorsichtig über die Ohren streifen. Dies macht das Ausziehen für den Hund angenehmer.

Please note the following:
1.
Neck size: The bottom of the neck strap must rest on the sternum or extend no more than 1 cm beyond it.
2.
Sternum length: The lower part of the harness should extend to the end of the sternum, leaving 3–4 ribs behind the strap.
3.
Back length/angle: The back section must be long enough so that the belly straps run diagonally upward and backward, ensuring that the pulling force is optimally harness across the harness .

Adjusting the waist belt
1.
When the harness is adjusted harness , it should fit loosely—there should be enough room for two fingers on each side under the waist straps. To adjust the waist straps, slide the outer strap through the slider.
2.
Once the correct length is set, check to make sure both waist straps are the same length. If they are not, adjust them accordingly.
3.
The slider should be pushed upward toward the buckle to avoid pressure points on the ribs.
4.
To properly stow the excess strap, first pull it through the loops, then fold it once or twice and pull the loop over the strap.
As a general rule, it is better to adjust the harness so that it is harness loose rather than too tight.
Adjusting the neck and chest straps
Neck straps:
First, locate the dog’s sternum—this is the bone that protrudes slightly at the base of the neck.
When the dog is standing, the harness cover the sternum or extend no more than 1 cm above it.
To adjust the neck straps, you must undo step two of the fastening (see instructions below). Now you can move the slider. Once it is correctly adjusted, you must refasten the strap (follow step two).
Chest straps:
The chest straps should be long enough so that the harness end harness the sternum, or so that you can still feel 3–4 ribs behind the belly strap.
You can find the end of the sternum by running your finger along it until it becomes soft.
To properly stow the excess strap, first thread it through the loops, then fold it once or twice and pull the loop over the strap.
How to thread the straps correctly:

Why is the harness adjusted harness ?
If the harness is adjusted harness tightly and the pull harness at an angle on the harness , the dog’s spine will twist, which is not good for the dog.
harness , if the harness is adjusted loosely (properly), the harness can rotate harness to 8 cm before the pull is applied. This prevents the dog’s spine from twisting.
harness the dog is walking, it makes a short shoulder movement; however, when trotting or galloping, the shoulder movement is long.
harness the harness is tight, the dog cannot move freely because its shoulder movement is restricted. If it is loose, however, the dog can move freely, even when trotting or galloping.

Correct application

1.
Under normal circumstances (e.g., when walking in the woods), the leash is attached to the rear ring of the dog’s harness. This distributes the pulling force evenly from the upper and lower parts of the harness to the sternum. (*IMAGE*)
2.
If you want to walk the dog on a short leash (e.g., in the city), you can attach one end of the leash to the front ring of the harness and the other end to the back ring.
Important when holding the leash on a short leash:
This makes it easy to steer the dog—whether to the left, right, or to slow down.
3.
The leash should not be attached only to the front ring, as this can put pressure on the windpipe, just like a collar.
To the harness:
The harness designed for puppies, so it grows with them as their neck circumference and chest length increase. It is important to check the fit regularly and adjust it as needed.
Care Instructions:
The harness be washed in a laundry bag at 30°C in the washing machine or by hand.
Use a mild detergent, but avoid fabric softener, as it can be harmful to your dog’s health.
You can hang it up to dry. The harness not be put in the dryer or ironed.

Safety instructions:
- Check the harness for damage harness use
- Never leave the dog tied up unattended
- If the harness is harness tight, it can cause tension in the dog
- The Popp-It puppy harness is not suitable for use as a car safety harness
- The harness is not intended for 24/7 use
