First, put the harness the dog.

Tip: harness taking harness off, turn it inside out and gently slide it over the dog’s ears. This makes it more comfortable for the dog.

Please note the following:

1. Neck size: The underside of the neck strap must rest on the sternum or extend no more than 1 cm beyond it.

2. Sternum length: This refers to the first strap of the harness. It should reach the end of the sternum, leaving 3–4 ribs behind the strap. The second strap thus extends further back to provide more support.

3. Back panel length/angle: The back panel must be long enough so that both belly straps run diagonally upward and backward, ensuring that the pulling force is optimally harness across the harness .

Adjusting the waist belt

1. When the harness is adjusted harness , it should fit loosely.
For the first waist strap, there should be enough room for two fingers on each side under the strap. For the second waist strap, there should be enough room for three fingers on each side.
To adjust the waist straps, slide the outer strap through the slider.

2. Once the correct length has been set, check to ensure that the waist straps are the same length.

The harness two front and two rear waist straps, each of which is adjusted separately. Therefore, first compare the two front straps with each other, and then the two rear straps. If the lengths within each pair are not the same, they should be readjusted accordingly.

3. The slider should be moved upward toward the buckle to avoid pressure points on the ribs. (IMAGE)

4. To properly stow the excess strap, first pull it through the loops, then fold it once or twice and pull the loop over the strap.

As a general rule, it is better to adjust the harness so that it is harness loose rather than too tight.

Why is the harness loosely adjusted

If the harness is adjusted harness tightly and the pull harness at an angle on the harness , the dog’s spine twists, which is not good for the dog.

harness , if the harness is adjusted loosely (properly), the harness can rotate harness to 8 cm before the pull is applied. This prevents the dog’s spine from twisting.

When the dog is walking, it makes a short shoulder movement; however, when trotting or galloping, the shoulder movement is long. harness the harness is harness tight, the dog cannot move freely because its shoulder movement is restricted. If it is loose, however, the dog can move freely, even when trotting or galloping.

In addition, if the harness is too tight, the fur can chafe, leading to skin irritation or hair loss.

Correct application

Image

1. Under normal circumstances (e.g., during a walk in the woods), the leash should be attached to the second or third ring on the dog’s harness. This distributes the pull evenly from the upper to the lower part of the harness, across the sternum.

Tip:
This is also helpful if you have a dog that likes harness out of its harness . By extending the harness and attaching the leash to the rear ring, the dog can no longer harness out of the harness .

2. If you want to walk your dog on a short leash (e.g., in the city), you can attach one end of the leash to the front ring of the harness and the other end to the rear ring.

Important when holding the leash on a short leash:

This makes it easy to steer the dog, whether to the left, right, or to slow down.

3. The leash should not be attached only to the front ring, as this can put pressure on the windpipe, much like a collar.

Matrailing with the Dog's Fun Run Support

To further improve the pulling angle and pull on the sternum, you can cross the belly straps.

This makes the harness for use with a drag line. It can also be used as a pulling harness or for mantrailing—though we also offer specialized harnesses for these activities that are even better suited to them.

Other possible applications

With the Dog's Fun Run Support harness a leash, you can secure your dog while riding a chairlift together or use it to help carry your dog up a short ladder while hiking, for example.

Long loop for securing
To do this, attach one end of the leash to the rear ring of the harness. Attach the other end of the leash to the front ring and also to the first ring on the leash itself (so that a small loop is formed). The loop is now approx. 130 cm–150 cm long.

Short Loop for Carrying/Securing
If you want to shorten the loop to about 50 cm, you must also attach one end of the leash to the rearmost ring of the harness. Attach the other end of the leash to the frontmost ring and additionally to the ring on the leash that is about 50 cm from the carabiner.

To the harness:

The Dogs Fun Run Support is structured similarly to the Dogs Fun Run Standard, the difference to the standard is that the back and belly part is extended and a second belly strap and a second handle are additionally attached. This allows the dog to be supported when jumping into the car, climbing stairs, etc.

Care Instructions:

The harness be washed in a laundry bag at 30°C in the washing machine or by hand.

Use a mild detergent, but avoid fabric softener, as it can be harmful to your dog’s health.

You can hang it up to dry. The harness not be put in the dryer or ironed.

Anti-pull training

Upon request, a chest ring for anti-pull training can be attached to the Dog's Fun Run Support.

This should only be used in combination with the second ring on the back: Attach one end of the lead to the second ring and the other end to the chest ring.

The method of use is essentially the same as with harness Guide harness.

Here’s how it works:
If the dog is on your right, hold the part of the leash attached to the top of the dog with your right hand. Hold the part of the leash attached to the chest ring/bottom of the dog with your left hand. (If the dog is on the other side, do the opposite.)

The three-step principle:

Step one: If the dog needs to be corrected, it receives the first signal acoustically.

Step two: Ifthe dog shows no reaction, give a light tug on the rear ring. (right hand)

Step three:  If there is still no reaction, turn 180° and pull the dog with your left hand (the hand holding the lower part of the leash). Then wait until the dog is calm. Only then should you continue the training.

Pulling on the chest ring should only occur at the third level. Otherwise, the leash should remain loose.
